What to bring
Identity document: a valid foreign passport or a Uruguayan cédula — the form has a «Pasaporte» type of its own
Phone — the field is mandatory
Email — the field is optional, but without it the booking confirmation stays only on the screen
He went to the office for advice with no booking at all: asked what came next and was handed a tirilla — the printed slip from the counter — with the schedule of the mandatory talk. He never used the online booking once: the date of the visit and the date of the exam were assigned to him at the counter. That is one case in Maldonado in 2026, not a procedure announced by the agency.
The order he actually followed was this: driving school first, then the medical exam, and only then the office. So the certificate was done before any booking, and nothing broke because of it.

Booking is mandatory for the visit with the papers — both for the online route and for the in-person one.
The booking only reserves the date. Documents and payment come at step 5, on the day you booked here.
In the booking form choose «Primera vez» under Trámite and «A» under Categoría: the default there is «Sin especificar».
At the end of the form comes a check question in Spanish, like «¿Cuál es el segundo mes del año?». The answer is written out as a word: febrero.
The medical exam can also be done before booking: as long as the certificate stays inside its 60 days, the order is not broken. Book first so it does not expire while you wait.
Free slots do turn up for the next few days: on 08/17/2026 the calendar was open through October 16, and the next day seven slots were left. Hours are 9:15 to 14:45.
